If you are looking for a break in the country where you can walk, play golf, fish, horse ride or tour Oxford, Stratford, or the Cotswolds this is a good place to start.

HOOK NORTON

Is a large village with a remarkably well stocked village shop, post office, dentists and even it's own brewery plus three pubs selling local beer and doing very good food.

BANBURY

Junction 12 M40 for easy access is (of ride a cock horse to Banbury cross fame) - about 5 miles away has all the major shops (including an all night supermarket)a railway station, coach station, cinema, swimming pool and leisure centre, bowling alley plus pubs, restaurants etc.

CHIPPING NORTON

A small market town also about 5 miles away has indoor and outdoor swimming pools, golf course, small theatre, antique shops as well as a good selection of everyday shops. There are also pubs that do food, an Indian and Chinese Restaurant to eat in or take away.

OXFORD - STRATFORD-UPON-AVON - WARWICK - CHELTENHAM

Are all within easy driving distance as are the Cotswold towns of Stow on the Wold, Moreton-in-Marsh and Chipping Campden. Bourton on the Water, the Slaughters, and a host of cotswold villages are all also less than 1 hour away.

About half an hour away for all your designer bargains.

Open plan Kitchen and Sitting room with:

  • a Pine floor with underfloor central heating, fully compensated thermostat for warmth through the whole cottage. The cottage also has mains connected smoke detectors.

  • Kitchen - Fully fitted with a Dark red oil fired Rayburn, dishwasher, microwave, deepfreeze, fridge, washing machine/tumble dryer, iron/ironing board, all hidden behind oak doors there is also a water softner under the double sink unit. There are all the usual appliances you would find in a well fitted kitchen electric kettle, toaster, electric tin opener etc.
  • Sitting Room - television (satellite) concealed in pine cabinet with DVD Player and Video Player, spiral staircase leading to gallery, antique finish pine table and dining chairs, comfortable deep seated sofa and 2 arm chairs, coffee table, large window with window seat.

Double doors leading to:

  • Garden Room - This lovely light and airy room has a slate tiled floor with underfloor central heating. Very relaxing to sit and read, sew, do a puzzle, or watch the world go by.

  • Bedroom 1 - double bed with draped headboard and matching curtains, fully fitted wardrobes, television, hairdryer, wash handbasin in antique oak finish stand. Window over-looking the private garden.
  • Bedroom 2 - Bunk beds - fully fitted range of wardrobes, television, hairdryer, handbasin in oak stand, roof light.
  • Bathroom - Novellini Corner spa bath and separate luxury shower with all round body massage jets. Wash hand basin in limed oak vanity unit.
  • Gallery - approached by spiral stair case out of the sitting room - with sloping ceilings and pine floor boards this lovely room also has a sofa bed and television with surround sound and DVD player.

OUTSIDE

A completely private garden/patio area with outdoor hot tub, jacuzzi, garden chairs and table surrounded by a beech hedge. Relax, while you sit outside, to the soothing sound of running water from the fountain.

For a good walk over the fields there is a right of way into Hook Norton or if you want something less energetic have a stroll round our own land -with a stop at the pond if you need a rest!
