Caroline and John :
Caroline Catling and John Romer are Partners in and owners of the riding school. 32 years ago, they started the riding school with a friend who shared her knowledge and expertise about the market. Learning as they went Caroline who had horses and ponies of her own, used her first-hand experience with the animals and business skill to make Turpins Lodge a success.
Weekend Staff -
We have several young adults who work at the weekend helping to ensure that the ponies are turned out to a good standard and that the yard runs smoothly.
John Romer:
John is the backbone to ensuring Turpins Lodge is kept in working order. If something breaks, you know who to call! As well as ensuring standards are kept to a high, John also founded Turpin Brewery in July 2013, an onsite micro-brewery. Specialising in brewing individual craft beers for local pubs as well as special events. John and his team have been rewarded with their efforts, being crowned the winner of the Oxfordshire Beer Festival for three years running. Please visit the link to the Brewery to find out more.
Hayley Godfrey -
Hayley has recently returned to Turpins Lodge to work with Sibella and Caroline running the yard. A new addition to Hayleys life is Rebus her black labrador puppy, who you will probably see at Turpins Lodge, and Jordan her fiancee of course!
Sibella Valentine:
Sibella first visited Turpins as a customer for her first-ever riding lesson when she was around 8 years old. Sibella has worked as a full-time groom, part-time groom, house sitter and dog sitter and now helps run the yard with Caroline and Hayley. There isn't anything about Turpins Lodge that Sibella doesn't know!
